What is a Brand Ambassador, can I be one, and does my university or organization need one for me to participate?
A Brand Ambassador is a member of your organization or university that is paid by Ambition In Motion to encourage other members to sign up for the MentorResource program and host 3, 1-hour group meetings over the course of the 12-week program with the other members from your organization that has signed up. If you sign up to participate in the program, you will be prompted to apply (if you are interested) on the Ambition In Motion site. We do need a Brand Ambassador from your organization or university, but if we have multiple really strong candidates for the role from your local area, we can assign an applicant to be a virtual Brand Ambassador for members that don’t have a Brand Ambassador in their region. -
What if I’m unable to get other members in my organization to sign up for the program?
This is ok. You will be the only Participant in the program that semester from your organization/university and that is fine. We hope you can share about your experience with other members during that 12-week program period to help promote the program and possibly garner sign-ups for the following term. -
What if a member is unable to attend group meetings?
We recommend holding group meetings during time periods that tend to work for everyone (e.g. Sunday, Monday or Tuesday evenings). It is also recommended you schedule the 3 group meetings at the start of the program and share these dates with your members so then they can put those dates down in their calendar. If something comes up and a member is unable to make a group meeting, please send them notes from the meeting. -
What if I realize I don’t have time to be a Brand Ambassador during my term?
We know you have a lot on your plate. We want to help you be successful and work with you to keep this leadership opportunity for one full year (e.g. 2, 12-week program periods), as this is an expectation of the program. Please reach out to us if you are struggling with time management of tasks or any other aspect of serving in the Brand Ambassador role so we can support you. If an emergency or other situation occurs where you absolutely must leave your position, please let us know. -
What is the compensation for the Brand Ambassador role?
Yes. The Brand Ambassador is a role model and resource their peers in the program. This means you not only respond to their questions about the program, but you also proactively reach out for check-ins and offer guidance and support. Brand Ambassadors are paid $50 per semester.
